Obadiah gave Edom a difficult message to hear… they would be punished for their wickedness toward Israel. Much like the Edomites were brethren to Israelites and didn’t get along, Jesus own family (the Jewish people) treated Him wickedly. God promised He would set-up a kingdom that would last forever destroying the kingdoms of the world. Including that of the Edomites!
